As we slide slowly into Spring, First Friday Art Walk finishes its first year under new management and Art Map Burlington wraps up its first year of existence. The publishers are grateful for the support this endeavor has received and equally grateful for the chance to direct your attention to such amazing work as Frank Wood’s “Hieroglyphic Echoes” at Artpath Gallery; Jane Horner’s fiber and wood constructions at VCAM Space; and pretty much everything at Print and Clay Studio 250. Guided Tours
Burlington City Arts offers walking tours led by staff and volunteers who are knowledgeable about each space and can answer questions about the exhibitions. Tours leave from the Firehouse Gallery every half hour, starting at 5:30PM and ending at 7PM. Tours last about an hour and visit exhibitions within walking distance of downtown.


Post-Walk
After the walk, head to the bar at Daily Planet where Margot Hobbs displays her Northern Lights series of oil on canvas. And at 9PM, head over to The Gallery at Burlington College for the open mic portion of Recon Soiree.


Wailing Wall at Green Door
An exhibition of new mixed media installations and dolls by Athena Kafantaris exploring the conflicted experience of mourning. March 2nd-23rd. Opening reception during First Friday Art Walk.

 
Art Map Burlington's
First Fifty Exhibition

For one time only, the publishers of Art Map Burlington are reviving the open exhibition concept in Burlington with an exhibition they are calling First Fifty. The artists exhibiting their work were selected by lottery at the February Burlington Artist Meet-up. It is an opportunity for the public to be exposed to unfettered talent and it is an opportunity for artists to show and introduce their work. CLICK HERE...for more details.
