March 20, 21, 22 and 23

Performance: Amy Caron
In "Waves of Mu", Utah-based, native Vermonter Amy Caron braves new territory in multidisciplinary art. Created in collaboration with renowned neuroscientists and named for the electromagnetic oscillations that mirror neuron activity in the brain, "Waves of Mu" is a combination of visual and performance art. Through installation, theater, video and movement, Caron guides the audience along a constant traverse between the brain and behavior interfaces-a journey that reveals new knowledge about the composition of the brain and its effect on social interconnectivity. By reinvigorating the natural relationship between art and science, Caron infuses her work with a contemporary sensibility while stimulating public interest in modern neuroscience. Suggested Donation: $10.

7PM doors open with performance at 7:30PM, Firehouse Gallery at the Firehouse Center for the Visual Arts, 135 Church Street, (802) 865-7165, www.burlingtoncityarts.com
