There is so much to do during May’s First Friday, we don’t even have time for philosophical waxings: experience First Friday “festival style” at the renewed Nectar’s; pop into Spectrum One Stop to see what the young folks are making these days; visit Cathedral Church of Saint Paul to see what the Episcopalians are up to; flip over to Skinny Pancake to peek at Ginny O’Reilly’s watercolors; stop into Speaking Volumes to catch the debut of Greg Mamczak’s new work; head over to Green Door for the Vantage Point book release; and, whatever you do, don’t forget to cruise the venues down on Flynn Avenue. Burlington City Arts offers walking tours led by staff and volunteers who are knowledgeable about each space and can answer questions about the exhibitions. Tours leave from the Firehouse Gallery every half hour, starting at 5:30PM and ending at 7PM. Tours last about an hour and visit exhibitions within walking distance of downtown.
