Calling all artists: Get plugged into Burlington’s incredible art scene by popping by this informal monthly get together. Find out who’s looking for folks to exhibit, meet other working artists, and get the low-down on the skinny of what’s up and up. In April, we visit Kriya Studio, the North End's newest art venue. Friday, April 20th
Burlesque Ball
In conjunction with "Les Affiches Illustrées: Art Posters from the Late 1800s", Burlington City Arts hosts the Burlesque Ball to benefit Burlington City Arts educational programs, and support the mission to put the arts back into education and daily life. This celebration includes live music, dancing, great food and drink, games of chance with celebrity dealers, and BIG prizes! Guests can show support for the arts, immerse themselves in the two floors of dazzling Art Nouveau work, and enjoy the transformation of the Firehouse into an old-fashion, salon-like setting. Extremely limited tickets are priced at $50 and available by calling (802) 865-7292.

Opening: Green Door Studio
IAVW book and portrait show: Iraq Veterans Against the War hosts their production of writings by veterans, portraits and selected readings from the book, Warrior Writers: Shoot, Move and Communicate. Handmade paper and bound editions are being sold to benefit the project.
