Friday, June 8
Opening: Graphic Havoc
This group show explores both the ways that computer-generated imagery has affected our sense of style and beauty as well as artists’ insistence on objects and traditional processes. In all these works, artists use hands-on and labor-intensive processes to achieve a digital aesthetic, suggesting the value connoted through time and labor as well as the enduring import of physical objects and human creativity. “Graphic Havoc” includes Reese Inman, New York-based Zoë Sheehan Saldaña, Megumi Naitoh, and others.
