Art's Alive
Art’s Alive is both a month-long festival and an organization that operates an art gallery year round at Union Station. The Festival of Fine Art happens each June in downtown Burlington. Events include a juried art show in the windows of downtown businesses and other activities which celebrate and sell art. The June issue of Art Map Burlington is dedicated to Art's Alive. www.artsalivevt.com
SEABA produces the South End Art Hop each September. This event brings thousands of people to Burlington's South End district. Art Map Burlington's September Issue is dedicated to the South End Art Hop and there is no First Friday Art Walk that month so that art venues can get ready for the event, which happens on the second Friday and Saturday of September. Burlington City Arts
In addition to operating a number of art venues, BCA offers art classes and other community programs including a Print Studio, Clay and Craft Studio, and Community Dark Room. They have a number of opportunities for artists. BCA was the original organizer of First Friday Art Walk and continues to operate programs in conjunction with First Friday Art Walk such as leading art tours during the event. www.burlingtoncityarts.com
Located on the campus of the University of Vermont, the Robert Hull Fleming Museum houses the state's most comprehensive collection of art and anthropology.
