On display through May: oil paintings by Wendy James. Having an extensive background in photography and ceramics, Wendy explores oil paintings in her most recent work. With a BA in Art Education from Glassboro State College and almost thirty years of art teaching experience, Wendy creates “new worlds and dreamlike environments” in her new work, altering drab city scenes into playgrounds of color. On display through May: Chepe Cuadra’s “Fragmented Figure” is inspired by a monoprint course, about which Chepe writes: “Because of the technique’s exigency, the quick approach, the spontaneity one has to work the monoprint... I found myself forced to break my dry-point-etching plate, getting as a result a fragmented figure...” The artist searches for an expression within the universe of the human figure.
