Resurrection: Episcopal Church in the Visual Arts 2008

For over 30 years, Cathedral Arts at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul has exhibited fine art in the nave. Please feel welcome to enter and browse and meditate weekdays anytime of the year. Through May 31: “Resurrection: Episcopal Church in the Visual Arts 2008.” Second annual ECVA Vermont Chapter exhibit, in which Vermont Episcopalians share artwork (spiritual or secular subject matter) which the artists find leads them to the Spiritual. Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, 9AM-5PM; Friday, 9AM-4PM. Reception: Friday, May 2, 5-9PM.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8AM-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-4PM

The Artpath Gallery’s new exhibit opens with an artist’s reception on First Friday, May 2nd, 5-8PM. Come meet four Vermont artists and enjoy collections of their work: “Mixed Media Collages” by Linda Durkee, “Coast to Coast” oil paintings by Isaac Graham, “Art of the Inner World” paintings by Deborah Hillman, and “Abstract Reality in Color” oil paintings by Sarah Milton. The Artpath, which runs adjacent to the waterfront bike path, is located in the Wing Building near the King Street Ferry Dock. This exhibit shows through July, Monday - Friday 7 AM-8 PM (weekends by chance). Special thanks to Main Street Landing Company.

Artsy and colorful, this waterfront restaurant takes its name from a song written by Phish. Three large aquariums, metallic copper walls and chef/owner Rick Benson’s vibrant artwork make the dining rooms fun and inviting.

Through May 31: paintings by Ginny O’Reilly, whose collection of recent watercolor paintings concentrates on large floral themes, using artistic interpretation of both form and color, and landscapes inspired by local settings. The artist explains, “watercolor’s unique luminosity is used to convey different tones, ranging from playful to moody.”
 
       
 

Where's the Wing Building?
Galleries at Burlington's beautiful waterfront are concentrated around Union Station on the bottom of Main Street and behind it at the Wing Building on the bike path.

To find the Wing Building, enter Union Station, go down the stairs and out the doors. Turn left and the Wing Building will be right in front of you.
